Toby accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 6 during a revival service at Union Grove Baptist Church in Decatur, TN. At the age of 13, he announced his call to preach and was used by the Lord as a youth evangelist until being called to his first church as a youth pastor at the age of 19.
His wife, Johnna, was saved at the age of 15 during a Meigs County Football Choir singing at Meigs County High School. Her biggest ministry is supporting her pastor-husband and serving the church in the area of teaching children.
Toby served Greenwood Baptist Church for twelve years until moving to New Orleans with his family for seminary. While in Louisiana, Toby has served two congregations as pastor and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary as the Church-Minister Relations Consultant.
Toby earned his BS in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute. He earned his Mdiv at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing his DMin in Church Revitalization.
During his free time, Toby enjoys being in the beautiful outdoors of East Tennessee camping, fishing, hiking, or simply taking in God's amazing creation.
